1. She learnt Open and it became open, open.

2. She learnt Please and it became pease, pease.

3. She learnt Milk and it became milk, milk.

4. She sees a picture of fish, she says "fish fish".

5. She sees a picture of rabbit, she says "abbit, abbit".

6. She sees round picture, she says "Ball".

7. She sees green or red apple, she says "Apple".

8. We sing "One two buckle my shoe", she sings "tee four shut the door".

9. We say "One, two, three", she continues with "four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, tennnnnnn"

10. Anything she doesnt want, she says "Don wan don wan don wan don wan"

Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

Bro & I brought niece to Jacob's garden. Too bad that sis was not able to join us because she was working. The outing was an interesting ones. As and adult, I found the garden indeed attractive and educative. There are hanging bridge, water fountain&fall, sand playground, fruit trees, floating platform etc. Although I came from a small kampung where I can see banana trees anywhere, for the first time, I ever seen banana trees with huge stalks of banana fruits. There are few little huts with traditional musical intruments. Huge tree trunks where we can play hide and seek.

My first swimsuits

Last night, I was model of the night. First swimsuit, everyone was looking at me, screaming how cute I m and busying taking my pic.

Second swimsuit: While I was doing my catwalk, mum put a hairpin so that I look more feminine. PLEASE do not aim at my tummy. I know that I am more than a qualified belly dancer.

1 year old

Yesterday was niece's first birthday and coincided with Barbie's birthday. She is officially 1 year old whereas Barbie is 50 ;)

Crawl with haste

Two nights ago, I came home from dinner. I was at the door step reaching for keys. Bro saw me and called niece. She was in the middle of the living room crawling towards sis, waiting in the kitchen. Immediately niece turned around and saw me. I called her too. She happily crawled hastily towards me until she knocked on the high chair..hahaha.. Yet she didn't cry and continued until she reached me with two open arms wanted me to cuddle her. I took her up and she waved her hands signaling her parents that she's going out. So, I brought her to the playground and walked around the neighbourhood. We came home during her milk-milk time ;) 

Passport photos

Last night, we were trying hard to get a very nice picture of niece for her passport application. Bro and sis were doing all the tricks until sis gave up and said "Only gugu can make her laugh" So we changed position - sis holding white cardboard, bro holding the camera and my task was to make her laugh.. Indeed she laughed!

Yesterday marked the ninth month of Baby Xuan's arrival since Mar 9th. We have a simple candle and variety cakes to capture the day of every month :)

Magic casts by Baby Xuan

Early last Fri, I managed to take a video of niece doing her magic casts - shake-your-butt, ta-ta, clap clap, chiak etc..

Shake-your-butt : when she hears music, she will dance (shaking her butt) .. hahaha..
Chiak : hide-and-seek game. Niece's head turns left and right when play chiak.

Ta-ta

Niece is about 9 months. We have been teaching her to bid farewell - bye bye & ta ta for few weeks. At first, she seemed to know but then don't know. She was with the what-are-you-doing look. Then one day, she said ta ta, ta ta by folding her fingers toward her palm. That it is! Ta ta, ta ta.. the magic word with magic cast! Then we taught her proper way to wave her right hand. Sometimes, she does it, sometimes she just has her own ways. Every morning, I will say bye-bye to her before I leave to work or before she goes to nanny's place. Now with everyday routine, she constantly does the magic cast or wave her hand :)

Guess ta-ta is her first word as compare to other infants, they normally say ma or pa.. Since niece is special, hope her next word is ku ku (gu gu as in chinese).. hahaha...

Baby Xuan First Swimming Lesson

Sis was bathing niece this morning. She was very playful, kicking the water until the whole floor was wet. I guess she will be the next Michael Phelps in 16 years time ;)
