Gathering with colleagues

Had a wonderful&eventful day at Warren's house. I guess the kids enjoyed the most with the food, rabbit, toys, PSP etc.

Yes mum, I'll fight monster

It's always sad to hear someone is sick or leaving. In the past one year, I have lost few people closest to me. First was my dearest aunt who diagnosed with stomach cancer. She had left us for more than a year yet we still miss her dearly. I made few trips back to BM to visit her. Everytime, she will smile. I never seen her shed any tears. Her strong will & cheerful face always appear in my mind whenever mum & I talk about her. Yet, she lost the battle. I felt it when I read the articles about Charmaine. USM Computer Science 10th Anniversary

It was like a blink of eyes, 10 years has passed. 10 years ago, we first came to USM to lodge into our own hostel, attended our first lecture at USM, wrote our first program and so on. We started off as strangers and became good friends. We all shared many laughters, activities, secrets, tutorials, notes etc. It is good to see everyone is making good living. Some with kids, some without kids. We enjoyed the food, songs and of course to catch up every single thing that we have lost. Too bad that this round, the diamond anniversary only attended by 6 of us. But we were happy to see everyone and family. We hope to see more people next year.

$2 + $2

Yesterday, I went with colleagues to ABC market for lunch. As usual, the hawker center was packed with people. While eating our lunch, we heard someone singing. It was like karaoke. Then we saw a guy pulling a black box while singing & walking slowly. His both legs are small and he has difficulty in walking. When he passed by our table, I gave him $2 and another colleague also contributed $2. He nodded few times as a sign to thank us. 

Just $2, we can easily spend it in a day without knowing it. I hope our $2 + $2 would settle a day's meals for him.

Microwave Oven

I bought some JCo donuts from Batam the other day and shared it among colleagues. The donut box printed "Put warm in microwave oven for 8seconds". So, two of my colleagues were trying that. First, they "study" the oven, getting around how to use it. They managed to set the 8seconds. Then kaboom! The donuts were not warm at all. The verdict: They forget to press the Start button..hahaha.. After awhile, we heard the beep sound - they happily found the Start button but the donuts were not warm enough. Then tried for another few seconds.... The donuts finally out - hot from the oven!

It takes a planner and an engineer to operate an oven ... ;)
